Moore & Van Allen PLLC successfully represented The Shem Creek Development Group in its lawsuit against the Town of Mount Pleasant which has been ordered to pay more than $2.6 million, plus legal costs for backing out of a 2013 parking license agreement they made to help pay for the Shem Creek Parking Garage.
Brandon Gaskins, a member in the firm’s Litigation Group, represented the developers. He said, “On behalf of my clients, I am very pleased with the verdict. However, we remain disappointed that the town officials declined settlement and allowed it to go this far.” The parking garage is located on Coleman Boulevard near Shem Creek, and includes office space.
