The Citadel’s Department of Political Science will host Former White House press secretary, Mike McCurry in a discussion and analysis of upcoming 2016 election and the recent debate.
McCurry is a veteran political strategist and spokesperson with nearly 35 years of experience in Washington, D.C. He served in the White House as press secretary to President Bill Clinton from 1995-98. He also served as the spokesman for the Department of State from 1993-95 and director of communications for the Democratic National Committee from 1988-90.
McCurry serves on numerous boards of advisory councils including Share Our Strength, the Junior Statesmen Foundation, the Children’s Scholarship Fund, the Wesley Theological Seminary, and the United Methodist Commission on Communications.
