Kids 'R' Kids Breaks Ground in the Greater Charleston Area

The greater Charleston area will soon see the opening of a new premier daycare facility for children aged 6 weeks through 12 years old. Kids 'R' Kids Learning Academy of Mount Pleasant expects to open in 2019 to serve the local community for all of their early care and education needs. The new state-of-the-art facility will be licensed to educate and care for approximately 230 children. The academy will also offer an afterschool program and summer camps for students up to 12 years of age. The facility will use state-of-the-art technology including a STEAM lab, SMART board, ABC Mouse, and a proprietary curriculum for children of all ages. The facility will feature 10 classrooms, various enrichment classes, a large activity room, and fully equipped kitchen and cafe. Outdoor amenities will include a SPLASH pad, large playfield and 4 playgrounds separated by age group. Once complete, the school will create 30-40 full-time and part-time teacher and staff positions.

The new location will break ground on Tuesday, July 17th at 10:30 AM in the Park West community of Mount Pleasant located at 3650 Bessemer Road. Special guests attending to help dedicate the ceremony include Kids 'R' Kids International co-founders Pat and Janice Vinson, CEO David Vinson, and VPO Sasha Vinson, Mount Pleasant Mayor Will Haynie, Mount Pleasant Town Council members, General Contractor Pete Mckellar from Harbor Contracting, and the new owners for this location Tim and Brooke Faber. In a statement the Faber's said "We are very excited to bring Kids 'R' Kids Learning Academy to the Charleston area.
