Noted South Carolina-based property management firm NHE, Inc. has begun leasing on its latest affordable housing community in South Carolina with the opening of Linden Square, a 24-unit apartment home development situated in Gaffney, S.C.
Linden Square joins dozens of other NHE affordable housing properties in markets including Spartanburg, Greenville, Rock Hill, Columbia, Charleston and Anderson, among others.
The Linden Square community is a joint effort made possible with funding through the South Carolina Housing Authority and its Small Rental Development Program, with project development undertaken as a joint effort of NHE Development and Creative Builders of Greenville. The purpose of the initiative is to continue to expand availability of high quality, affordable housing in communities across the Palmetto State. Apartment units at Linden Square are available to prospective tenants with household incomes varying from 30% to 80% of area median levels for Cherokee County.
Located at 160 Stuard Street in Gaffney, the 1-, 2- and 3-bedroom apartment homes are located with excellent proximity to the community’s main commercial corridor and easily accessible to shopping, dining, healthcare and other community amenities. Walmart, Lowe’s, Ingle’s and other important retail outlets are all within easy walking distance for residents.
“NHE is excited to begin handling management and leasing for Linden Square, which we consider to be an excellent addition to Gaffney’s affordable housing landscape,” said Taylor Davis, CEO of NHE, Inc. “We have sought the right opportunities in the market for several years for a project such as this, and are pleased to work with Creative Builders, the general contractor for the community, in this important initiative.”
Linden Square Apartments feature one, two, and three-bedroom units ranging from 752 square feet to 1,187 square feet. Within each unit, residents enjoy 9-foot ceilings, solid wood cabinets, high-quality laminate countertops and luxury vinyl tile flooring, among other features. Apartments are ENERGY STAR certified, meaning they meet strict program requirements for energy efficiency and achieve a 20% improvement on average over non-certified homes.
