Raines Hospitality & Feeding Our Heroes SC Send Meals to Healthcare Workers

Staff Report From Charleston CEO

Wednesday, April 29th, 2020

On Wednesday April 22nd and Friday April 24th, Raines Hospitality partnered with Feeding Our Heroes SC to distribute over 110 meals to healthcare workers at Trident Health Medical Center and Roper St. Francis Berkeley Hospital. Port City Paper also donated a case of to-go Styrofoam containers and cutlery kits.

Jacob Billings, Area Food and Beverage Manager for CAMBRiA Summerville and Mount Pleasant, proposed the idea for meal distribution after inventory of multiple items no longer able to go towards their intended purpose. Multiple CAMBRiA staff, including General Manager of CAMBRiA Summerville, Ayanna Little, Senior Sales Manager of Summerville / Mt Pleasant, Bridget Bowis, Area Senior Director of Sales and Marketing, Kate Neville, and Area Food & Beverage Director, Justin Moss, worked diligently to not only cook and plate meals, but also aid in the delivery to both healthcare locations.

“We have long valued our relationship with Feeding Our Heroes - SC and are so fortunate that our teams could come together during this time to prepare a meal and show our utmost appreciation to our essential healthcare workers.” – Kate Neville, Area Senior Director of Sales and Marketing

“This is what it’s about – teaming up,” says Leigh Ann Garrett at Feeding Our Heroes SC.
